As a non-profit, all GHAAC programs are supported by public donations and memberships. Those who sit on the Board and committee members all volunteer their time and efforts to advocate for arts in this talented lakeshore community.

A vibrant arts and culture industry is good for both out-of-town visitors and the Grand Haven community itself. How enjoyable and edifying, to be able  to take friends and relatives from out of town to watch the Central Park Players perform “Charleston” or the Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company, “A Midsummer Nights Dream.”

International studies show that business and young professionals alike are attracted to communities which offer an abundance of arts and cultural opportunities. As monies in support of the Arts dwindle from the coffers of the state and federal governments, local businesses and individuals must step up to promote these programs through donations and memberships.

Volunteer and share in the arts in promoting the arts in your community. Many volunteers find ways to utilize their abilities and passions within the GHAAC. Do you enjoy sewing? You may be called on to help design costumes for the talent show. Are you willing to set up and take down tables and displays? Contact us, we have a place for you!

Enjoy the annual member dinner and appreciation evening. You will receive discounts from local businesses, the Arts Council Boutique and for most Arts Council event entrance fees.
